Many guests said they enjoyed listening to the ocean while they slept, and that recent renovations made hotel rooms very comfortable. Negative reviews mainly came from guests who stayed during the renovation period. They were disappointed with loud noises and limited facility access (as of writing this review, the renovations have been completed).

“We LOVED the simple ceremony site (my one "zilla" thing is that you'd be surprised how ugly bannisters can be... when they're in all your photos it mattered to me idk), and the ballroom was fine enough (we weren't super picky on it since we figured it would be gussied up anyway) [...] The food at the venue was also AMAZING so we really lucked out there. Surf & Sand Resort provides all couples with a Catering Manager, who will be on-site on your wedding day. In addition, they require that a professional wedding planner is attained for a minimum of two months - day-of coordinators are not allowed.
